Beautiful Dreamcatcher Card

Hello Everyone.  Today I have a Beautiful Dreamcatcher Card to share.

I love the way this  turned out.  My colors, theme, layout, and technique where all chosen based on some challenges I am entering this week.  Please see list below for more info on these fun blogs.

I did two versions of the card. This first one you can see all the way thru the center of the deramcatcher and get a glimpse of the sentiment on the inside with just "dream" showing thru the opening.

On The next one you just see thru to the base card layer. Then I added the word dream to the bottom with a die-cut.

Which one do you like better?  Leave a comment below, I'd like to know what you think.

Here are all the supplies I used (list below);

Supply List:
  • Cardstock:  Sweet Sugarplum (mauve), Island Indigo (dark teal), Mint Maranon (minty teal), white, Gray wood grain (Cricut Faux Leather).
  • Card base:  I used one from Anna Griffin's new All About Kindness card kit (I  thought it complimented my other colors well) (HSN)
  • Cuttlebug
  • Anna Griffin's new cuttlebug embossing folder  Feather Blanket
  • Kaisercraft Dies & Stamps - Feathers (love it)
  • Intricutz Dies by Couture Creations - Dream
  • Inks:  White Daisy and Slate (by CTMH)
  • Pens:
    • Gelly Roll- glitter roller by Sakura,

    • Lagoon  and blush - both by CTMH
  • Glue dot (from the dollar store!), ATG Tape roller, Tombow Tape runner, Liquid Glass (CTMH)
  • Floss - White
  • Cricut (for clear acrylic scallop circle - used to wrap the dreamcather) - had to multi cut
  • Circle Cutter (thru front of card) - Mine is by Creative Memories - this is one of my oldest crafting tools (still good after 15 years with same blade)

Challenges I am entering this in:
  • The Paper Player - sugarplum,  indigo, mint  color challenge  (Closed 15 July)
  • Mojo Monday - sketch challenge  (Closes 17 July)

What Does the Fox Say...

These festive little foxes come from Woodland Whimsy Animals .  Aren't they dreamy?  And the best part -- they are free with Cricut Access.

They have a very southwest feel to me so I added the Happy Birthday title for the Southwest cartridge along with arrows and chevrons from various carts (see below).

I welded the little fox to the base card so his tail would hand down past the edge.  Then I extended the back of the card by welding a rectangle to the bottom. I really think this added interest to the card.

Inside of one says, "That's what the fox says".  Inside of the other says, "I hope all your wildest dreams come true".  I created the sentiment in Design Space and "flattened" to print, so no fussy gluing on the inside.

Had a little glue ooze on this Gray card so I just traced the edges with my glitter gel roller.

Challenges I am entering this in:
Simon Says Stamp: Flora or Fauna Monday Challenge (closes Sunday 17 July)
Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes (Closes 20 July)
Crop Stop: Anything goes (closes 31 July)

Cartridges Used: (all cuts free with Cricut Access!)

Other Supplies:
  • Cricut Explore (required for Cricut Design Space and Cricut Access)
  • Glue and tape runner
  • Glitter gel pen
  • Color Printer (for inside "flattened sentiment)
  • Cardstock:
    • Gray
    • Crisp White
    • Purple
    • Burnt Orange or Terracotta
    • Midnight Blue
    • Deep Forest Green
    • Sage
Please let me know if you have any questions and as always, God bless and happy scrappin'!

Anna Griffin's Cartridge - Garden Cards and Embellishments - Four Elegent Cards

Sorry - bad lighting on this photo

I made several variation's of a card from the "make it now section"  on Cricut Design Space.   These cards are from Anna Griffin's Cartridge -  Garden Cards and Embellishments . I of course added my own touches to make them "my way".
I love the Anna Griffin style with the vintage flora.  Speaking of flora,  that is perfect for the flora or fauna challenge over at  Simon Says Stamp.

The "Happy Birthday" comes from  Sizzix Thinlits.  It originally said "Happy Birthday to You",  but I cut the '"to you" off so it would fit nicely on the front of the label.  I do not remember what cartridge the labels are from - probably a CTMH one.

One interesting thing I did was, once the layers on each pieces where glued together (but before I put the pieces on the card), I ran them all through the Cuttlebug.  I like doing this sometimes, as it really adheres the papers together, almost making them as if it is one smooth piece.  I also did this with the main card -- It was an interesting affectt because of the ornate top layer, it gave the inside of the card a gentle embossed touch. If you look close you can see that on the inside of the card above.

I also pop-dotted the butterflies and flowers in such away to make them come of the page giving it interesting dimensions.

If you want to make an elegant card but don't have the time to design it yourself I highly recommend the Cricut Design Space "Make it Now" feature.  It gives you instructions, sizes, and list of needed supplies at the click of a button.

Supplies:
  • Cricut Design Space "Make it Now" (need Cricut Explore to use Design Space)
  •  Cricut Explore (mine is an air so it is Wi-Fi ready)
  • Anna Griffin's Cartridge --  Garden Cards and Embellishments
  • Other cartridges for labels and outside sentiments / titles
  • Sizzix Thinlits. "Happy Birthday to You"
  • Cardstock:  Cream, beige, medium blue to light blue, pink, and two shades of sage (leaves)
  • Patterned paper: I used 4 different patterns between the four cards from a K and Company floral stack.
  • Gold foil paper (small piece for "Happy Birthday)
  • Glue and pop dots
  • Gold ink

Challenges I am entering these in:
Simon Says Stamp: Flora or Fauna (closes 18 July)

Precious Moments Ice Cream Easel Card

Todays card uses a sweet little Precious Moments clip art image.

I have used three different die sets on this all cut with my little Cuttlebug  and magnetic mat.

( If you don't have a magnetic mat yet, I highly recommend it.  The Cricut magnetic mat works much better then Genius by We R Memory Keepers one I tried first - cheaper too)

The first die gives it its easel shape (witch is perfect for the challenge over at Glitter and Sparkle).  I love the stitching on these dies from Little Darlings.

Next I used the little lacy circle for the  "sun" or word frame.
I also used a phrase die the "Hi"

One of the challenges  I am entering over at Simon Says Stamp  gave us a mood board with some color and photo inspiration.  I chose my colors based on that challenge along with the teal wood patterned paper inspired by the photos.

I was going to enter is an ice cream challenge  - hence this adorable little precious moments image of  two sharing a cup of the sweet stuff.  This image is clip art obtained form pinterest.

Fancy Squares and Little Things by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps  (for frames and buttons)
Ornamental Lace Dies by Couture Creations (for sun)
Shapeabilities Phrase Set One by Spellbinder (for  "Hi")

Magnetic plate (to hole dies in perfect place - Love it!)

Crazy Cute Change Purse Card

Love the Crazy Cute Cards available on Cricut Access.  This one is the change purse with gift card holder. It comes with a peacock feather, but I deleted that for this card.

I used five cartridges on this including one to make the "patterned" paper.
The pattern actually comes from  Cricut Cartridge Word Collage.  I flattened  the coffee collage to print on to the outer cover in a light gold-beige color.  I love the way it turned out - I think the print made it look like a designer end clutch!

I used Don Juan for the "thinking of you" cut but used Love You a Latte to replace the coffee cup that was originally on the cut.  Thought the cup with the heart was much cuter.

I used Cricut posted board  for the purse closure in a dust gold or champion. - cuts very well for non-detailed cuts.

The Crazy Cute Cards collection has several adorable cards.  I will be sharing a steampunk one soon, so stay tuned.     I added the  "Love you a latte"  cut from Just Because Cards on the outside of the gift card holder.

This will make a nice card for a friend , I'll just pop-in a Starbucks gift card and ready share a smile.

This cut also comes with an envelope.

Sizing:  I ungrouped the gift card holder from the purse and envelope to resize.
  • Gift card holder: 5.05 x 6.38
  • Purse (largest part): 5.56 x 8.23
  • Envelope: 9.65 x 7.17

Challenges I am entering this in:
Supply list:
  • Cricut Explore
  • Colored printer (or a light patterned paper)
  • Cricut design space
  • Cricut Cartridges:
  • Cardstock: coffee bean, brown sugar, cream, and  small piece of red patterned paper
  • Gold Poster Board:  I used Cricut poster board (or heavy cardstock to make the closure more sturdy)
  • Cricut mats  -medium or  heave (for poster Board), lite grip for cardstock/paper
  • Strong glue to hold metallic poster board (I use  Aleene's paper glaze)
  • Tape runner (I use Tombow Permanent )
